All is now set for a historical combined mid year service of Faith Tabernacle Congregation, Nigeria (FTCN) old Okpala district this Sunday, 8th June, 2025 at FTCN, District headquarters, Umumahi, Okpala autonomous community in Ngor Okpuala LGA of Imo State.
This combined service will be fully attended by members of the Congregation from Amapu, Amaumara, Etche, Ife, Mbieri, Okpala and Owerri as ancestral communities that constituted the old Okpala district of the church as well as meaningful friends and associates of the Congregation from far and near of the State.
Prof. Alabekee Chikwendu, a key player in the organization of the programme, observed that this will be the first ever combined service organized since he was sent forth last March from Owerri congregation to his ancestral Okpala congregation as part of his age long planned relocation and retirement plans after 40 years away.
“It is a thanksgiving opportunity for me, because it’s my first combine communion service since my return to Okpala from Owerri. By His grace, I intend therefore, to use the occasion to thank God for everything He has graciously done in my life and my family. It’s equally my desire, that all the people who participated and attended my historic send forth at Owerri last March, will afford me the honour of being in attendance” he solicited.
It’s pertinent to inform that over 30 Ministers of the gospel of the Congregation extraction as well as other renowned men of God from other denominations have indicated their interest to be part of the divinely combined Communion service physically and spiritually.

Chikwendu who’s an Associate Professor of Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri, is also a leader in Okpala ancient kingdom autonomous community, just as he reassured of an impactful communion service with salvation and testimonies of liberation, prosperity and emancipation guaranteed.
The academic icon further said that, it’s not only going to be spiritually fulfilled, networking and unity of purpose as biblically affirmed, there will be also entertainment galore with “akpu” as a sure banker.
