The wife of the Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio, Mrs Ekaette Unoma Godswill Akpabio, marked her 54th birthday in grand style at her country home in Ukana, Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa I om State. The celebration was attended by family, friends, and associates, who showered her with goodwill messages and gifts.
In a heartfelt tribute, the Senate President declared this: “Be assured of my love forever. My dear wife, words cannot describe my joy as you add another year to your age today.” He praised her for her positive impact on humanity, love for fellow women, children, and the less privileged.
Akpabio highlighted his wife’s initiatives during his governorship tenure, particularly the Family Life Enhancement Initiative (FLEI), which transformed thousands of lives in Akwa Ibom State. He also commended her continued empowerment initiatives, medical outreaches, and interventions, including building houses for widows and the vulnerable.
Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, described Mrs. Akpabio as a role model, commending her significant contributions to national development. Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, Deputy Whip of the Senate, praised her prayerfulness, support, and encouragement of her husband’s political journey.
In her response, Mrs. Akpabio thanked her husband for his love and support, reassuring him of her loyalty and appreciation. She also expressed gratitude to the guests for their goodwill messages and support.
The celebration featured the ceremonial cutting of the birthday cake, followed by the exchange of gifts from friends and well-wishers.
