By Abbanobi -Eku Onyekachi, Abuja

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has called on the people of the South-East geopolitical zone to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to attract more dividends of democracy to the region.

In a press statement through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh on Wednesday, Akpabio said this while praising President Tinubu for signing into law the bills establishing the Federal College of Education, Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, all in Item, Bende, Abia State, and the Federal University in Okigwe, Imo State. He described the move as a significant milestone in promoting education and development in the South-East region.

The Senate President urged the Igbo people (Ndigbo) to key into the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration and position themselves for strategic and progressive alliance with President Tinubu. He commended the President’s inclusive leadership and commitment to the development of the South-East region.

Akpabio also praised key stakeholders, including the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, and Senators Onyekachi Nwebonyi, Osita Ngwu, and Patrick Ndubueze, for their exceptional leadership and commitment to the wellbeing of their people.

The establishment of these institutions is expected to provide quality education, research opportunities, and cater to the educational needs of the South East region, ultimately promoting development and healing deep-seated wounds of the past.
