Late President Buhari a painful loss – Gov Idris

The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has declared late President Muhammadu Buhari as the Captain of peace achieved in some parts of sub-Saharan Africa and among the strong pillars of the sustainable democratic governance in Nigeria.

The declaration was contained in separate condolence messages to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the family of Late President Muhammadu Buhari, over the death of the former President, on behalf of the government and people of Kebbi State.
These were contained in press statement issued by Abdullahi Idris Sadaukin Zuru, Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy the State Governor.
Comrade Governor Idris recalled the
several successful regional and international peacekeeping operations led by the then military commander (Buhari), which comparatively stabilised peace and harmony in some African countries in the 1960s.

Comrade Idris further noted with commendation, the commitment of the former Military Head of state through endurance and perseverance under the present republic which eventually shaped the Nigerian socio-economic and democratic growth being enjoyed by present-day politicians, thereby leaving an indelible legacy.

Though as a faithful Muslim with a strong belief in the inevitability of death, the Comrade Governor expressed his pains of the irreplaceable multiple loss of a courageous leader, reliable guardian, displinarian with vast knowledge and experience in the armed forces and diplomacy.

He prayed Allah to abundantly reward late President Buhari good deeds, forgive his shortcomings, and grant the family the courage to bear the great loss.
