‎‎‎Ahead of 40th Birthday, Dr. Abuyere Visits Suleja Prison, Facilitates Inmates’ Release‎‎‎‎‎‎

‎Founder of the Skyewise Foundation, Dr. Elvis Abuyere, has visited the Suleja Correctional Centre in Niger State as part of humanitarian activities to mark his 40th birthday.

‎Dr. Abuyere on  Wednesday through his foundation paid fines for inmates who were unable to pay, thereby securing their release from incarceration.

‎In his interaction with the inmates, Dr. Abuyere spoke the words of hope to them and encouraged them to keep hope alive as time will change their story.

‎Dr. Abuyere who was once incarcerated for eight days in Keffi prison used the story of Joseph in the Bible to give the inmates hope, who despite all he faced among his brothers and Potipher’s wife rose and became prominent.

‎”Some of you might be here today based on the great vision God has given you. I want you to be courageous, it might be a process for you to emerge to something great”, he said.

‎He encouraged those who regained freedom through the intervention of Skyewise Foundation not to go into crime, but work out legitimate ways to make a decent livelihood.

‎In a social media post after the outreach, he said, “I know what it feels like to be inside, counting the hours, holding on to hope, and wondering if life will ever give you a second chance.

‎”Today, as I stood among these men and women, my eyes almost gave way to tears. We prayed together, laughed a little, and shared moments that reminded me how fragile freedom is.

‎”With the help of friends and family who journeyed with me, we paid fines for some to walk free, and covered transportation for others to attend their court hearings.”

‎He also donated relief materials such as food, hygiene supplies, medicine and copies of his book, Challenges of Life and other items.

‎The inmates could not hide their joy as they expressed their gratitude to Dr. Abuyere and the foundation.
