Senate President Akpabio returns to Nigeria after brief vacation

Abuja, Nigeria – Senate President Godswill Akpabio has returned to Nigeria after a short vacation in London, putting an end to speculation about his health. Akpabio arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 4:00 am on Monday, where he was welcomed by senators, aides, and Nigerians from various walks of life.

This was contained in a press release from Jackson Udom, Special Assistant on Media to the Senate President on Monday.

Upon his arrival, Akpabio addressed journalists, promising robust legislative engagements upon resumption. He also highlighted the significance of Nigeria’s participation in the International Parliamentary Union in Geneva, assuring Nigerians of more benefits to come.

Akpabio had attended the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva from July 29-31 before embarking on his brief vacation in London. His return has been met with relief and anticipation for his renewed leadership in the Senate.
