Addressing a press conference in Kaduna, the Convener of the group, Tesleem Abdulrasheed, lamented the senator’s lack of engagement with the people and his failure to address pressing issues affecting the district.

Abdulrasheed stated that the senator’s social media presence has been dominated by updates on personal leisure activities rather than addressing the insecurity and developmental challenges facing the district.

He cited the recent tragic incident in Kaumin Wali, Kajuru Local Government Area, which sparked widespread concern but drew little response from the senator.

The group expressed concern that Senator Usman’s disconnect from his constituents was unacceptable and undermined democratic representation.

They highlighted the senator’s failure to contribute to security efforts, provide relief materials to victims of insecurity, or visit affected communities, including during the peak of crises in Birnin Gwari and Giwa.

The concerned citizens called on Senator Usman to urgently address the people of Kaduna Central, engage security agencies, visit the affected communities, and reconnect with his constituents through regular town hall meetings and consultations.

They warned that leadership that forgets the people must constantly be reminded, peacefully, firmly, and responsibly.
