ICPC arrests former NIMASA DG, Bashir Jamoh

Officers of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) on Tuesday morning in Kaduna, arrested and detained the former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Bashir Jamoh.

Sources hinted that the former NIMASA boss was driven to his Kaduna home by the operatives, before driving him to Abuja.

A coalition of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) had mid-last year penned series of petitions against Jamoh.

Meanwhile, the ICPC is yet to issue an official statement on the arrest or disclose the specific allegations against him.
