Bawa emerges APC Chairman in Taraba as Gov Kefas urges unity, inclusiveness

The immediate past state chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alh. Abubakar Bawa has emerged chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Taraba State Chapter.

Bawa was elected in a peaceful party congress held last night in Jalingo.

Congratulating the new Exco, the state governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas urged for unity and inclusiveness and commended the party members for a peaceful and successful congress.

While he described the emergence of the new leadership as a significant step towards straightening the party’s structure in the state, Kefas advised the new executives to discharge their responsibilities with fairness and commitment.

He urged them to do justice to the party in order to attract more people into the APC family.

The governor emphasized the need for unity, transparency and grassroots engagement in building a formidable party.

Agbu Kefas also assured members of his administration’s readiness for inclusiveness within the party, stressing that all members would be carried along in its affairs.

The state chief executive called on party faithful to remain united and supportive of the new leadership as they work to reposition the APC in the state.
