In order to cushion the hardship occasioned by the mass killings of Okpolojo indigens, Gov Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has offered relief materials, including foam, roofing sheets,beds, rapper, and cash to the famiies of the victims to cushion the effect of the communal crisis that claimed many lives and properties in the area.
The governor,who was represented by the speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly,Mr.Moses Ije Odunwa said most of the bereaved families are really passing through difficult times as a result of the sudden communal crisis that claimed many lives while some are homeless without food nor shelter, stating that the governor wants to use alleviate their sufferings through these relief materials.
The Commissioner for Human Capital Development,Mr.Ann Aligwe noted that Ebonyi State Government mapped out 70 million naira for the project, while 57 persons shall benefit from it.
Some of the bereaved families were offered open check and relief materials ranging from roofing sheets,beds, foam, rapper, among other items.
Nnachi Ugwu,Ezeorji Ndukwe,Ihuoma Odiuko, among other beneciaries appreciated governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for the intervention.
