Breaking: Uba Sani Vows to Dismantle Barriers Facing Kaduna Women

Governor Uba Sani has declared that his administration will intensify efforts to dismantle long-standing barriers limiting the full participation of women in governance, economic life, and community leadership across Kaduna State.

In a powerful message to mark International Women’s Day 2026, the governor said empowering women is not merely a moral obligation but a strategic pathway to sustainable development and social progress.

He emphasised that societies that deliberately invest in women and girls—through education, leadership opportunities, economic empowerment and social inclusion—stand to reap enormous benefits.

According to him, empowered women strengthen families, energise institutions, stimulate economic growth and help build more stable and prosperous communities.

“Our administration is committed to translating this principle into purposeful action,” the governor declared, noting that Kaduna has already begun setting a strong example through policies that expand opportunities for women in governance, enterprise and public service.

Senator Sani pointed out that women are currently serving in key leadership positions across government institutions in the state, bringing discipline, insight and compassion to public administration.

He added that the growing presence of women in decision-making roles reflects a clear commitment by his administration to build a more inclusive and equitable society.

“This year’s theme, Give to Gain, captures an important truth: when societies invest in women, the returns are profound and far-reaching,” the governor said.

He called on citizens, institutions and leaders at all levels to renew their resolve to create a future where every woman and girl can realise her full potential.

Governor Sani maintained that Kaduna’s development agenda will continue to prioritise policies that protect the rights of women and girls while removing structural barriers that have historically limited their advancement.

“As we give women the opportunities, respect and support they deserve, our society will undoubtedly gain,” he affirmed.

The governor’s message adds fresh momentum to Kaduna’s ongoing push for inclusive governance and signals a renewed determination to ensure that women play a central role in shaping the state’s future.
