In a statement issued on Monday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Mbah as a committed leader whose administration has driven notable progress in the state over the past two years.

The President commended the governor’s commitment to progressive governance and constitutional democracy, noting that the policies and projects undertaken by his administration are helping to transform the state.

Tinubu also highlighted Mbah’s background in the private sector, where he built a successful career in the oil and gas industry before his election as governor in 2023.

Reflecting on his official visit to the state in 2025, the President said he personally witnessed the impact of Mbah’s leadership.

“During my official visit to Enugu in 2025, I witnessed firsthand what good and competent leadership, as demonstrated by Mbah, can accomplish when anchored on vision and service to the people,” Tinubu said.

The President further praised the governor’s approach to inclusive governance and his collaboration with other governors in Nigeria’s Southeast region, noting that such partnerships are helping to reposition the region for economic and political growth.

Tinubu concluded by wishing Mbah good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve the people of Enugu State.
