Maikalangu, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs, Kingsley Madaki on Friday, urged the Muslims Ummah to uphold lessons of love, loyalty and sacrifice which are the foundation of the festival, during and after the festivity.

He emphasized that the sustainable development of the Federal Capital Territory requires the collective prayers.

The Chairman used the occasion to once again express his profound gratitude to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for his unwavering support and mentorship.

It reads, “As we celebrate this joyous occasion, I want to specially thank my mentor, the FCT Minister, for his leadership and for standing by us.

“His support was instrumental in our recent re-election, a mandate we hold sacred as we continue delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of AMAC,”

In addition, Maikalangu called on all residents to remain steadfast in their prayers for the Minister, noting that the “infrastructure revolution” currently witnessed across the FCT is a testament to the Minister’s vision and dedication.

“We thank Mr. President for giving the people of the FCT a performer like Minister Wike.

“Wike’s appointment as the FCT Minister has bridged the gap between the government and the grassroots; we are seeing the Renewed Hope Agenda in action through every road paved and every project completed.”

Maikalangu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, promising that his second term will focus heavily on complementing the FCT Minister’s efforts within the rural communities of AMAC.

“Let us celebrate in peace and continue to pray for the prosperity of our dear Council, the FCT, and Nigeria at large. Barka da Sallah!”
