The call was conveyed in a statement issued by Yomi Odunuga, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, following the President’s remarks at the high-profile event.

President Tinubu made the appeal on Thursday in Lagos during the launch of the autobiography of His Royal Highness, Samuel Oluyemisi Olu Falae, where he underscored the need for traditional institutions to rise to current national demands.

Speaking through the SGF, Senator Akume, CON, the President noted that royal fathers must go beyond ceremonial roles and serve as frontline agents of peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and grassroots stability.

“Peace and security are not solely the responsibility of government; they are collective duties,” Tinubu stated, urging monarchs to promote dialogue, discourage violence, and strengthen cohesion within their domains.

He described Oba Falae as a bridge between tradition and modern governance, commending his distinguished service as a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and his contributions to Nigeria’s economic management and cultural leadership, including his role in Afenifere.

President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with traditional institutions, noting that Oba Falae’s autobiography stands as a testament to resilience, patriotism, and integrity, while also offering valuable lessons for future generations of leaders.
