Usman Bobboi Jauro Declares for Gashaka/Kurmi/Sardauna Reps Seat, Unveils Development Agenda

Usman Abubakar Bobboi Jauro has formally declared his intention to contest for the Gashaka, Kurmi, and Sardauna Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Jauro made the declaration on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the divisional party secretariat in Gembu, where party members, supporters, and community stakeholders gathered to witness the announcement.

In his address, Jauro pledged to drive meaningful development across the constituency if given the mandate, emphasizing the need for stronger representation at the federal level.

He noted that while individuals can contribute to community growth, their capacity is often limited without formal legislative backing. According to him, securing a seat in the National Assembly would provide a broader platform to attract projects, influence policies, and deliver tangible benefits to the people.

“There is a limit to what one can achieve as an individual, no matter the goodwill,” Jauro stated. “But with the mandate of the people and a voice in the National Assembly, we can do much more to transform our communities.”

Outlining his vision, Jauro stressed the importance of opening up the constituency to greater economic opportunities. He said his focus would be on influencing initiatives that improve infrastructure, enhance connectivity, and position the area for investment and growth.

“We must connect our communities to the rest of the country and the world. Development comes when people, goods, and opportunities can move freely. That is the direction we must take,” he added.

The declaration has been received with enthusiasm by supporters, who described it as a step toward more proactive and impactful representation for the people of Gashaka, Kurmi, and Sardauna.

Political observers note that Jauro’s entry into the race signals an emerging contest ahead of 2027, with growing expectations for leadership that prioritizes development, inclusion, and economic expansion in the constituency.
