Tinubu congratulates Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu on birthday

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, on the occasion of his birthday, praising his leadership, patriotism, and contributions to Nigeria’s democratic growth.

In a statement released by the State House on May 5, 2026, and signed by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu commended Kalu for his dedication to legislative excellence and national development.

The President described the Deputy Speaker as a lawmaker who has distinguished himself through intellect, patriotism, and commitment to strengthening democratic institutions.

According to the statement, Tinubu acknowledged Kalu’s constructive role in lawmaking and his efforts in promoting unity and collaboration within the House of Representatives.

“President Tinubu acknowledges Kalu’s role in fostering unity and collaboration within the House of Representatives,” the statement read.

Tinubu also praised Kalu’s advocacy for policies aimed at promoting economic growth, good governance, and national cohesion.

He noted that the Deputy Speaker’s efforts have contributed to strengthening social harmony and advancing policies aligned with national development goals.

Offering personal birthday prayers, the President wished Kalu good health, wisdom, and strength for continued service to the nation.

“As you celebrate this special day, I pray for good health, wisdom, and strength,” Tinubu said.

He urged the Deputy Speaker to remain committed to serving his constituents and the country with dedication and integrity.

Tinubu further wished Kalu many more years of impactful service to Nigeria and humanity, describing his work as critical to consolidating democracy and supporting the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.

The President also reaffirmed confidence in Kalu’s leadership capacity, noting that his role in building consensus and fostering collaboration among lawmakers remains vital to advancing national interests.
