The Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) has elected its candidates for the House of Representatives seats in the AMAC/Bwari and Abuja South Federal Constituencies following the party’s primary elections held in Abuja.
The primaries took place on May 27, 2026, at the party’s national headquarters located at No. 25 Niger Crescent, Sun City Estate, Galadimawa, Abuja.
At the end of the exercise, Hon. Chigozie Eze Anolue emerged as the party’s candidate for the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency.
Similarly, Methuselah Gallio Alonge secured the party’s ticket for the Abuja South Federal Constituency, which comprises Abaji, Kuje, Gwagwalada and Kwali Area Councils of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The primaries were conducted under the supervision of the party leadership led by the National Woman Mobilizer, Bilikisu Ocheja.
The primaries were also conducted in the presence of the officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Party officials described the exercise as peaceful, transparent, and in line with the DLA’s commitment to internal democracy ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The successful candidates pledged to work with party members and stakeholders across their constituencies to strengthen the party’s support base and deliver effective representation if elected.
