Ahead of the 2027 Ogbaru Federal Constituency House of Representatives election, a youth leader in the constituency, Mr Ikenna Ejima, has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hon. Sir Awogu, as a candidate the people can trust.
Ejima, in a statement on Thursday, said Awogu’s antecedents demonstrated his commitment to the growth and development of Ogbaru Federal Constituency.
He said every election provides an opportunity for citizens to choose the kind of leadership they desire, stressing that the people of Ogbaru were looking for a representative who would be accessible, accountable and genuinely committed to their progress.
According to him, Awogu’s campaign is anchored on trust, service and development, with a commitment to amplifying the voices of constituents and pursuing policies capable of improving their livelihoods.
“Sir Awogu, PhD, represents a vision of leadership anchored on trust, service and development. His campaign is built on the belief that effective representation should amplify the voices of the people, pursue policies that improve livelihoods, and ensure that every community benefits from meaningful progress,” Ejima said.
He noted that the future of the constituency depended on leadership that listens, engages and works to attract opportunities while supporting youths and women, encouraging entrepreneurship, improving access to quality education and healthcare, and advocating better infrastructure.
He added that effective representation must be founded on integrity, fairness, dedication and accountability.
“Trust is earned through consistency, transparency and a genuine commitment to public service,” the youth leader stressed.
Ejima also urged supporters and constituents to promote peaceful participation, constructive dialogue and issue-based engagement as the campaign gathers momentum.
He said democracy was strongest when citizens actively participated in shaping their future through informed choices and respectful civic engagement.
“The journey toward a stronger Ogbaru Federal Constituency is one that requires unity, hope and a shared commitment to progress.
“With determination and the support of the people, the constituency can move toward a future of greater opportunities and sustainable development,” he asserted.
