Uzodimma charges Imo APC leaders on grassroots mobilisation for Tinubu

From Everest Ezihe, Owerri

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has charged leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to intensify grassroots mobilisation and work towards delivering a 100 per cent victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election.

Uzodimma, who was last Friday named Secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, is also the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Agenda Ambassadors of the party.

The governor gave the charge over the weekend at the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Convention Centre, Owerri, while handing over campaign buses to APC local government chairmen and other party officials.

He urged the beneficiaries to deploy the vehicles strictly for party activities and grassroots mobilisation, stressing the need for stronger coordination at the ward and local government levels.

Declaring that “APC is Imo State and Imo State is APC,” Uzodimma said the party would embark on massive sensitisation across the state, leveraging the achievements of his administration and the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration.

According to him, the reforms and programmes implemented by his administration had produced tangible results and provided the party with a strong basis to campaign for President Tinubu.

“I cannot deliver the President without you. We will come together and work together, so that together we will also win 100 per cent,” he said.

The governor warned party officials that the failure of any individual could affect the fortunes of the entire party.

“The failure of one person is the failure of the Party,” he stated.

Uzodimma also highlighted developments in the state’s health sector, including the commissioning of a robotic medical system and the expansion of health insurance coverage, as evidence of his administration’s achievements.

He urged APC members to mobilise voters beyond partisan lines and ensure a massive turnout for President Tinubu.

“Let us come out en masse. Let’s vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. No sentiments,” the governor said.

He explained that the buses were provided to strengthen the party’s grassroots campaign structure and facilitate effective mobilisation ahead of the election.

In his remarks, the Imo State Chairman of the APC, Chief Austin Onyedebelu, commended Uzodimma for providing the campaign buses, describing the gesture as a major boost to the party’s grassroots mobilisation and campaign operations across the state.

Onyedebelu disclosed that the governor provided 27 buses for chairmen of the 27 local government areas, in addition to buses for zonal chairmen, the State Woman Leader and the State Youth Leader.
