The Accord Party has thrown its weight behind Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika’s re-election bid for AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, citing his performance in addressing the welfare of AMAC/Bwari constituents.
FCT Senate candidate, Dr. Ezekiel Dalhatu Musa, popularly known as MC Gida Gida, made the endorsement while addressing stakeholders ahead of the 2027 National Assembly elections.
Dr. Musa said Obika has built bridges between communities in the FCT and remains committed to equitable service delivery, despite criticisms from some quarters.
Responding criticisms from the oppositions, he said the the legislator has performed above average in his Constituency, just as he highlights his focus on constituency needs. “His actions speak louder than criticism; they demonstrate a leader who loves the constituents,” the statement said.
The party emphasized that Accord represents the convergence of Indigenous and non-Indigenous interests under one banner, and the Musa-Obika ticket embodies that vision.
“Even though I am an Igbo man, my service has shown my love for the FCT people,” Obika was quoted as saying, a statement Accord described as proof of his inclusive leadership style.
Noting that governance in the FCT demands unity. Musa said: “We need collaboration and synergy. We must come together as one people to solve our problems. No single group can address the territory’s challenges alone.”
In a statement signed by Amb. Emenike Egbusunwa, SSA Media & Publicity to Hon. Obika, Accord urged residents of AMAC/Bwari and the FCT to support the party’s candidates for effective and collaborative representation in the Green Chambers and the Senate respectively.
