Senator representing Delta Central, Ede Dafinone has felicitated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday Wednesday, commending his years of distinguished public service and contributions to Nigeria’s development.
In a statement he issued, Senator Dafinone described Shettima’s journey from banking to public office, including his tenure as Governor of Borno State, service as Senator representing Borno Central and his current position as Vice President, as a testament to a life dedicated to service and responsibility.
He said Shettima demonstrated courage and resilience while governing Borno State during a period of severe security and socio-economic challenges, noting that his leadership qualities deserved recognition as he attained the milestone.
The Delta Central senator also commended the Vice President for the experience and commitment he continues to bring to governance, particularly his role in advancing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“At a time when Nigeria requires leadership that is purposeful, inclusive and anchored in the national interest, I am confident that Vice President Shettima’s experience in governance, public administration and economic affairs will continue to contribute meaningfully to our collective efforts to strengthen the economy, deepen national unity and promote sustainable development,” he said.
Dafinone, on behalf of his family and the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, wished Shettima many more years of good health, wisdom and fulfilment in the service of Nigeria.
He prayed that God would continue to guide and protect the Vice President and grant him strength and sound judgment in the discharge of his responsibilities.
