By Hassan Zaggi

An Abuja-based business man, Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar, has debunked publications in some online platforms alleging that he collected the sum of $400 million as consultancy fee in respect to Malabu Oil deal.

He described the publications as false, satanic, evil and malicious, targeted at bringing his name to disrepute.

In a statement signed by his  media aide, Kadiri Joseph, in Abuja, Wednesday, Alhaji Abubakar explained that he has never acted as a consultant for the oil  and gas company, let alone receive  the said amount as consultancy fee.

The businessman reiterated that he will never give in to cheap blackmail by individuals and some unprofessional  internet millipedes in the name of online news platforms, whose job, he said, is to defame the character of people.

Alhaji Abubakar therefore, advised the online platforms to  retract the publications, adding that he has briefed his team of  lawyers  to take legal action against the publishers and anyone involved in the false publication.

“Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar has never acted as a consultant to Malabu oil and gas and has never collected $400 Million as consultancy fee in respect of Malabu oil and gas. “The publication is engineered by our detractors and we will never give in to cheap blackmail. The publishers must retract and pull down the publication and tender apology within 72 hours. My lawyers have been briefed to take legal action against the publishers ,” the statement noted.
