A new Commander has assumed office as the 6th Commander of the 17 Brigade Nigerian Army.
He is Brigadier General Oluremi Fadairo, who is taking over from Brigadier General Ibikunle Ajose, who has proceeded to Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji as Director of Administration.
During the handing and taking over ceremony, Brigadier General Fadairo acknowledged the challenges in the Brigade’s Area of Responsibility while assuring that he was fully prepared and ready to hit the ground running to build on the achievements of his predecessor
The new Commander applauded his successor for his overwhelming accomplishments during his tour of duty.
The new Commander pledged to operate an open-door policy which he said will bring to bear the experiences he garnered over the years in the pursuit of the Brigade’s operational objectives.
He further thanked the Almighty God and the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja for finding him worthy of the appointment as the Commander 17 Brigade and promised to work tirelessly to guarantee operational successes.
He further urged the officers and soldiers of the Brigade to accord him maximum support as the military job requires collective efforts.
Earlier in his remarks, the outgone Commander Brigadier General Ibikunle Ajose appreciated officers and soldiers who served with him in the Brigade for their commitment to work and loyalty throughout his tour of duty and urged them to accord the same cooperation and support to his successor.
