Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State, Hon Okey Edeh has felicitated with the Governor of the state, Peter Mbah and the people of the state on the occasion of this year’s Easter.
In a message, he said: “As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I, Hon. Okey Sydney Edeh, Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Enugu State Chapter, and the Assistant National Publicity Secretary ALGON, extend warm Easter greetings to Governor Peter Mbah, the good people of Enugu State, and all Nigerians.
“This season of renewal and hope is an opportunity to reflect on the progress we have made and look forward to a brighter future.
“Governor Peter Mbah’s administration has been a game-changer for Enugu State. His visionary leadership has yielded incredible projects that have transformed our state.
“From the groundbreaking Enugu Air project to the construction of overhead bridges, Mass housing, smart schools, hospitals, and a revamped healthcare delivery system, Governor Mbah has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to our state’s development. His administration’s efforts to improve infrastructure, pay pensions and gratuities, and invest in human capital development are truly commendable.”
He went further to declare that: ” the people of Enugu State have witnessed unprecedented growth and development under Governor Mbah’s leadership. The construction of roads, water projects, and mass housing initiatives has improved the quality of life for our citizens.
“I urge Ndi Enugu to continue supporting his administration’s efforts, and I encourage everyone to pray for God’s guidance and protection over our governor as he works tirelessly to build a better Enugu State.
“As Chairman of ALGON Enugu State, I assure Governor Mbah that the 17 local governments in the state will continue to draw strength from his leadership and vision.
“We are committed to being responsible, responsive, and innovative in our governance, ensuring accountability and transparency in our operations.
“We will work tirelessly to drive rural sustainable development, improve the lives of our citizens, and make our local governments engines of growth and development in line with your vision.
“To His Excellency, the 17 LGAs heartily, wish you many more years of continued service delivery and development of our dear state. May God bless you abundantly and grant you the strength to continue serving our people with wisdom and dedication.
“To the people of Enugu State, I wish you a blessed and joyous Easter celebration filled with love, peace, and hope. May the spirit of Easter inspire us all to strive for greatness and work towards a brighter future for our state,” he stated.
