President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended congratulations to a distinguished educationist and pioneer member of the Universal Primary Education (UPE) programme, Mr Dennis Okoro, on his 90th birthday – March 31.
President Tinubu commended the celebrant’s remarkable life, defined by a commitment to service, knowledge, dedication, and enduring contributions to advancing education in Nigeria.
“Your legacy is established in the minds you have shaped, institutions strengthened and particularly your pivotal role in the implementation of universal primary education, giving generations of pupils access to basic foundational knowledge.
“At 90, your footprints continue to inspire educators, policymakers, and citizens alike, serving as a shining example of patriotism and selfless service for younger generations to emulate.
“On this significant occasion, we honour your enduring legacy, celebrate your invaluable contributions, and express profound gratitude for a life so richly lived in service to education and humanity.
“May the Almighty God continue to fill your days with peace, dignity, and good health,” President Tinubu wrote, according to a press statement issued Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy).
