The lawmaker representing Gashaka State Constituency in the Taraba State House of Assembly, Hajiya Batulu Muhammed, has pledged to sustain her achievements if returned to office in the 2027 general elections.
She also expressed gratitude to her constituents for unanimously endorsing her as the sole candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a second term.
Hon. Batulu, speaking with journalists shortly after obtaining her expression of interest and nomination forms at the APC State Secretariat in Jalingo, assured her constituents of continued quality representation and the consolidation of the gains recorded during her current tenure.
The lawmaker noted that the call by her constituents for her to seek re-election was based on her performance, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, agriculture, as well as women and youth empowerment, among others.
According to her, the success of her stewardship has been largely due to the support of the State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, whose administration, she said, has created an enabling environment for lawmakers to deliver meaningful impact across their constituencies.
She therefore called on her supporters and party faithful to turn out en masse to vote for Governor Agbu Kefas, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all APC candidates in the state, to ensure continuity as the 2027 general elections approach.
It would be recalled that Hajiya Batulu Muhammed has served the state in various capacities, including as commissioner, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Head of Media Establishment, and Women Leader, before her current role as a lawmaker, among other positions she has held.
