Film In The Park (F.L.I.P), an outdoor film and cultural experience, has announced the third edition of its annual event, F.L.I.P 3.0: A Night of Magic – The Kaleidoscope African Experience, scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Freedom Park, Lagos.
The event, which is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m., is expected to bring together filmmakers, film lovers, creatives, culture enthusiasts and other stakeholders for an evening dedicated to African cinema, culture, music and storytelling.
The organisers said the third edition would build on the success of previous editions while introducing a new direction designed to create a richer and more immersive experience for participants.
According to the Founder of Film In The Park, Tomiwa Precious Otun, F.L.I.P 3.0 represents the beginning of a new chapter for the annual outdoor film experience.
Otun said the organisers were determined to move beyond the traditional concept of film screening by creating an event that combines cinema with other elements of African cultural expression.
“While celebrating the achievements of previous editions, F.L.I.P 3.0 marks the beginning of a new chapter, one that promises a richer, more immersive celebration of African cinema, culture, music, and storytelling,” she said.
She explained that F.L.I.P 3.0 would offer participants an opportunity to experience African stories and creativity in an open-air environment while connecting with people who share an interest in film and culture.
The founder described the event as more than a film screening, saying it would provide a platform for filmmakers, film lovers, creatives and culture enthusiasts to interact and celebrate the richness of African storytelling.
“Described as more than a film screening, F.L.I.P 3.0 will bring together filmmakers, film lovers, creatives, and culture enthusiasts for an unforgettable evening under the open sky,” Otun said.
According to her, guests should expect a carefully selected line-up of films, engaging conversations, networking opportunities, music, food and games, alongside a vibrant atmosphere designed to celebrate African creativity and cultural identity.
The organisers said the event would create opportunities for participants to interact with filmmakers and other creative professionals, while also providing a relaxed environment for networking and cultural exchange.
The Kaleidoscope African Experience is expected to showcase the diversity of African storytelling through film while connecting cinema with music, food, conversations and other forms of creative expression.
The event is also positioned as a platform for film lovers to experience cinema outside the conventional theatre setting, with Freedom Park providing an outdoor environment for the celebration.
The organisers said additional information about the official film line-up and full programme schedule would be released in the coming weeks.

Tickets are available online at a flat rate of N10,000, according to the organisers.
