Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Taraba State Chapter, Hon. Moses Maihankali, has felicitated with Governor Agbu Kefas and all Tarabans as Nigeria marks her 66th-Year Independence Anniversary.
Maihankali, in his special message to commemorate the nation’s journey at 66, urged citizens to keep hope alive as better days are underway.
While he specifically lauded Governor Kefas’ administration’s developmental strides in the state, the ALGON boss said the Taraba narrative has significantly changed in the period under review.
According to him, what the state required was a collective unity of purpose and support for Governor Agbu Kefas’ administration by making sure all hands are on deck to realise his dreams of translating Taraba into realities.
The state ALGON boss, who is also the Executive Chairman of Kurmi Local Government Council, described Nigeria’s journey at 66 as a sober reflection and an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of the founding fathers and the collective responsibility of citizens to build a peaceful and prosperous nation now and for future generations.
As he prayed for divine protection, wisdom, courage, justice and the fear of God for Governor Agbu Kefas, President Tinubu and other leaders of the party across board, Maihankali urged Tarabans to support initiatives aimed at promoting peace, unity and economic prosperity as the 2027 General Elections draw nearer.
On the national scene, Maihankali disclosed that Nigeria’s 66 years of independence had been marked by moments of great promise, difficult challenges, remarkable achievements and major national transformations.
He pointed out that despite economic difficulties, insecurity, infrastructure deficit and other challenges, the Nigerian spirit has remained strong.
Maihankali appealed to Nigerians, irrespective of tribe or political affiliation, to continue to support the Federal Government’s reform efforts.
