We’ ve no case with AMAC chairman- APC

By Daniel Tyokua

The All Progressives Congress ,APC, Jiwa ward in FCT, said it has nothing against the current chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council ,AMAC, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido
Recall that the AMAC chairman was reportedly suspended by his ward, Jiwa.

In a statement issued by Dayo Lawal Media Aide to Candido, said Jiwa ward chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of the Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Hon Abdullahi Adamu Candido, for his numerous political virtues and commitment to uphold the ideals and extant laws regulating the party.

The statement explained that a letter jointly signed by the ward executives of the party and forwarded to the National, State and Local Government chairmen of the party, condemned the letter dated 3rd June, 2021 purportedly suspending Candido from the party, described it as falsehood and not emanating from them.

They lauded his leadership qualities and resolved to solidly stand and support him to continue with the good work he has started.

All the allegations contained in the letter, according to them, were figment of imaginations of the authors as there was never such complaint that was made to the party at any level.

The executives said the Constitution of the party provides detailed disciplinary procedure against its erring members and as such this their purported letter of suspension clearly violates not only the Constitution of the party, but also the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.

According to the Executives, “Nevertheless, to the best of our knowledge, there has never been any complaint to the party against Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido for any wrong doing whatsoever.    Also, we never had cause to, and he has never been subjected to any form of discciplinary procedure or been disciplined by our party.

“All we know about him is that he is law abiding and has offered hope to our teeming supporters and ignited in people a passion for love, unity, politics and discipline.”

While calling to disregard the letter, they said, “it should be immediately investigated with a view to applying the necessary sanction in the best interest of the party.”
