Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Tuesday, said Kano state has concluded all plans for a hitch-free All Progressive Congress (APC) state congress slated for October 16.
Ganduje who spoke at Africa House, Government House, Kano, shortly before the commencement of the weekly state Executive Council meeting, also directed all Commissioners and other political appointees to attend the Independence Day parade.
“We are ready for the state Congress coming up on the 16th of October,” Ganduje declared.
He further stated that, “the Ward Congresses took place. That was followed by the local government congresses.
“After the inauguration of the Wards party leadership, we are now waiting for the inauguration of the local government leaders who were elected few weeks back.
“We are getting ready for the state congress. We are making all the necessary preparations for the state congress.”
Ganduje, however, directed all Commissioners and all Advisers to attend Independence Day Parade coming up on Friday, October 1.
“Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba is leading the Committee for Independence Day celebration.
“I am also directing all Commissioners and Advisers to be there on Friday, during Independence Day parade,” he said.
