Daura Emirate Council has nominated Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi for turbaning as Dan Amanar Daura (Trusted son of Daura) on February 5, 2022.
The title is in recognition of Amaechi’s contributions to the socio-economic development of the country, especially in the railway sector which has been moribund for over three decades.
According to information made available to journalists by Eric Ojiekwe, Director of Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Transportation over the weekend, the turbaning ceremony, will be performed by the Emir of Daura, His Royal Highness, Dr. Umar Farouk Umar at the Emir’s Palace in Daura, Kastina State by 11:00 am.
The highlight of the occasion will be a royal durbar in honour of the Minister and invited dignitaries.
Recall that The Emir of Daura, Farouk Umar, last month turbaned Yusuf Buhari, the son of President Muhammadu Buhari as Talban Daura and district head of Kwasarawa community.
Mr Umar said at the occasion that Yusuf deserved to be appointed as district head considering the developmental strides brought to the council by Yusuf’s father.
