….Ebonyi Fed.Law maker canvass support for Gov. Mbah.Senator Ngwu. From Maurice Okafor, Enugu. The Senator representing Enugu West senatorial district in the 10th National Assembly, Senator Osita Ngwu,has assured that he will consolidate on the socio economic development of the district from where his predecessor, Senator Ike Ekweremadu stopped. He disclosed that he has already started some empowerment programmes for women and youth cut across the five local government areas of the district. Senator Osita Ngwu made the revelation while speaking  at a post inauguration reception, held in his honour at the ‘Base Event Center’ Enugu, at the weekend. He said that Senator Ike Ekweremadu did marvelously well in his  quality of representation of Enugu West senatorial district and socio infrastructural development of the zone in the past twenty years, promising to impact furthe on their expectatations To walk the talk,Senator Ngwu revealed he empowered ove 600 persons during the elections and now that he succeeded, the sky will be his limit. His words,”During campaigns i visited all the 81 wards in Enugu West senatorial district. i visited some wards more than two times.I will protect the interest of Enugu West and Enugu state generally.Enugu West district had good representation since the past two years With Senator Ike Ekweremadu, I will consolidate on his achievements”. “We have decided to perform across the five local government areas that constitute Enugu West district.We are having constituecy meeting so as to carry every body along.We shall actualise the dreams of Enugu state just as we shall perform in Enugu West district”. Senator Ngwu assured in a few days away,he will provide Cassava and Corn grinding machines to some women in Inyi town,Oji River local government area,as he promised them during his campaigns. Senator Ngwu promised to reactivate all abandoned projects across Enugu West district. On human capital development, he emphasised his desire to train and empower Youths from each communit in the district in digital technology,stating ICT is driving the global economy. According to him, a committee has been set up to register interested Youths from each of the communities for the free ICT training. Senator Ngwu said he has also set up a committee to articulate the number of widows across Enugu West district.revealing he will define strategies to empower each of them meaningfully. In line with Governor Mbah’s policy to promote tourism in Enugu state,Senator Osita Ngwu said he has set up a committee to search out potential tourism sites within Enugu West district,with a view of developing them. Several speakers described Senator Ngwu as possesing the qualities to offer quality representation and facilitating socio infractural development of Enugu West district,Enugu state and beyond.Particularly, a Federal law maker from Ebonyi state, Hon Chinedu Oga, commended Senator Osita Ngwu as a good material for the National Assembly.He pleaded with Enugu people irrespective of party of affiliation to give him and Governor Peter Mbah all the necessary support to develop Enugu state to laudable height as capital of the Igbo nation. Earlier on, While acknowledging the large crowd that came for his Enugu post inauguration reception, Senator Osita Ngwu disclosed that even though a gallant reception was held at Abuja in his honour immediately after the inauguration, but he considered the  Enugu reception  more important because it provided opportunity for thousands of his constituents and grass root mobilisers an opportunity to interface. celebrate and brainstorm on the wayforward. He expressed gratitude to his constituents for the overwhelming support that saw him true to the senate. He recalled that his desire to serve the people politically manifested in 2018 when he aspired to represent Udi/Ezeagu federal constituency in the National Assembly on the platform of PDP but bowed to  internal arrangements within his party,PDP. Senator Osita Ngwu extolled the base  and grass root support he built over the years for demonstrating their continued loyalty and support him in the February 25 National Assembly elections. He appreciated the Enugu state Governor,Dr Peter Mbah, for carving out time of his busy schedule to attend. He equally appreciated the immediate past governor of the state, Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Dr Anayo Onwuegbu for their presence. Other dignatories who attended the Enugu post inauguration ceremony of senator Osita Ngwu includes Prince Chikwado Ngwuta and Chief Chinyeaka Ohaa, both of whom stepped down for Governor Mbah during the PDP primaries. A former senator of Enugu West district, Senator Ben Collins Ndu, a former deputy speaker of Enugu state house of assembly, Hon Don Uzogbado and creme de la crdme of Enugu state PDP party officials and stalwarts also attended. The five local government chairmen un3r Enugu West senatorial dirtrict among whom  are Hon Kingrley Onyeagba,the chairman of Oji River local government area,participated actively in the Enugu reception in honour of Senator Osita Ngwu....
