Police parade 37-year-old impersonator of Aisha Buhari

The Federal Capital (FCT) Police Command yesterday paraded a 37-years-old Aisha Mohammed for soliciting for contracts and favours from heads of government agencies and departments claiming to be the wife of the President, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari.
Aisha Mohammed who hails from Plateau State, according to the FCT Commissioner of Police (CP), Sadiq Abubakar Bello, is a mother of four.
Parading the suspect, the CP explained that: a�?She was arrested for impersonating the wife of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari.
a�?She is using the name of the First Lady to solicit for contracts and financial assistance from unsuspecting members of the public, especially heads of government establishments.
a�?The suspect was arrested by Police operatives on January 10, 2018, at Fadama III Project Office, Maitama, Abuja following a report that she contacted the Coordinator of the Project that she wants assistance in her capacity as the First Lady.
a�?Upon her arrest, a phone and a newly acquired Airtel SIM Card registered in the name of Aisha Buhari, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was recovered from the suspect.a�?
Abubakar Bello noted that investigation is on-going with a view to contacting other people the suspect must have duped in the name of the First Lady.
He noted that she would be charged to court at the end of the investigation.
The CP, however warned members of the public to always double check who they are dealing with before parting with their property or money.
