A middle age man has killed himself in Kpeghegi village of Abuja, after taking sniper, a poisonous substance meant to kill rats.
The man identified as wale, an aluminum craft specialist, complained to close friends that he was tired of life and may soon end it all.
According to a close friend of the deceased, who spoke with THE AUTHORITY, “Wale had been feeling disgruntled of recent, but he didn’t want to tell anybody what was wrong with him. The only that comes out of mouth on frequent basis, is that he was tired of life.
“On Christmas eve, when others were going to church in the night, Wale told us that he too was going to church, but he went to where he kept the sniper and drank it. However, when he started feeling somehow, he ran to Kpeghegi police post and told the police officers there that he drank sniper. Of course as of that time it was already late for the officers on duty to do anything to save his life. After telling the police what he did, he slumped and started vomiting forms from his mouth. Within minutes he died.”
The AUTHORITY leant that the late Wale left a child and wife to bear the painful loss.
