NDDC: Group Urges Akpabio Not To Succumb To Threat

A group, Global Peace Movement International has urged minister of Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio not to succumb to threat and blackmail in the quest to reposition the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)

President General of the group, Dr Mike Uyi at a press briefing in Sweden said Niger Deltans are solidly behind the minister, urging him to sanitise the Commission to achieve better impact in the region.

He alleged that some individuals have been sponsoring media campaigns and petition in an attempt to blackmail the minister.

He said, “we are aware that so many people wants busines as usual. But the region cannot grow od things continue the way it was. Those who are alleged to have taken what belong to the people of the Niger Delta should go and clear their names rather than blackmailing the minister through media propaganda.”

Uyi said the minister should focus on devlopimg the region and should not be distracted by those he said are “enemies of Niger Delta.”
