Armed Forces Day: Gov Bello promises more support for family of fallen heroes

Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, on Wednesday promised to support the Armed forces, law enforcement agencies and the families of fallen heroes in the state.

The governor gave the assurance at the commemoration of the 2020 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration at the World War I and II Cenotaph, Lokoja.

Governor Bello charged the living heroes to continue to defend the nation’s sovereignty and to support the government in catering for the well being of
the loved ones left behind by the nation’s fallen heroes.

The governor was joined by top service chiefs, representative of retired Service Men and the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRH Dr. Ado Ibrahim CON, as they laid wreaths in honour and remembrance of the nation’s fallen heroes.

The governor had earlier inspected the Guard of Honour, signed the Hard Book, and released the white pigeons which symbolises existing national peace.
