Hundreds of thousands of Kano residents stormed the streets Monday morning savouring the Supreme Court verdict that affirmed the victory of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as the duly elected Governor of Kano state.
The AUTHORITY observed that people gathered in numbers, discussing the verdict which many see as the confirmation a well-deserved victory.
The AUTHORITY also reports that residents in jubilation mood, are moving about their normal businesses, without apprehension.
Speaking with our Correspondent on phone, the state Commissioner of Information and culture, Malam Muhammad Garba, described Ganduje’s victory as the will of God and the desire of the people.
According to him, “we are most grateful to the Almighty God for this victory. This is not the victory for Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje alone, it is a victory for the good people of Kano state.
“We call on the Peoples Democratic Party to maintain peace and accept this verdict in good faith. This the real confirmation of our journey to The Next Level ”
