BPPC Gets New GM

Governor Samuel Ortom has approved the appointment of Mr Ben Agande as General Manager, Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation, BPPC, publishers of The Voice newspaper.

Mr Agande takes over from Mr Philip Anza who has been redeployed as Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Commercial Enterprises.

Secretary to the Benue State Government, Professor Anthony Ijohor, SAN, has already issued a letter of appointment to the new BPPC General Manager, which takes effect from January 27, 2020.

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to governor Samuel Ortom, Mr. Terver Akase indicates that before his appointment, Mr Agande held various positions among which are; Senior Correspondent, Vanguard newspaper in charge of North Western states of Kaduna, Katsina and Zamfara till the date of his new appointment.

He was also State House Correspondent, Vanguard Newspapers from Sept, 2006- February, 2009 and later from November 2012 to July 2015.

Others include,. National Assembly Correspondent, Vanguard Newspapers from 1999 to Oct, 2005 and later from March 2010 to November, 2012, Chief Press Secretary, National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency, (NESREA) – February 2009 to March, 2010.

He equally worked as Special Assistant to the Governor of Benue State on media from Oct, 2005 to August, 2006, Political Correspondent, Nigerian Tribune, Abuja, from March 1998 to May, 1999, Senior Reporter, The Monitor Newspapers, Abuja from 1997 to March, 1998 as well as Reporter, The Nigerian Herald (based in Abuja) from 1996 to September, 1997.
