National Chairman, Peoples Democratic Movement, Chief Frank Igwebuike has described moves by the Independent National Electoral Commission to deregister the party as impunity.

On Thursday, INEC deregistered 74 political parties as preparations for the 2023 general elections gather momentum.

INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, made the announcement at a press conference in Abuja.

Reacting to the the development on Thursday, Chief Igwebuike vowed to take legal action against the electoral umpire.

“INEC can’t deregister PDM… INEC illegally excluded PDM from the 2019 elections without obeying court orders and is now deregistering PDM,” he said.

“He has goofed. We are currently going to the court for justice. Nigeria and Nigerians are at trial.”
