The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has celebrated the 4th anniversary of its Special Female Squad, highlighting the unit’s remarkable achievements in protecting schools and communities across the nation. The NSCDC Commandant General (CG), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, expressed his appreciation for the squad’s effectiveness in carrying out their duties without compromise.
According to a press statement from CSC Babawale Afolabi, the Public Relations Officer, NSCDC Headquarters, Abuja on Tuesday, the Female Squad has foiled over 48 kidnap attempts across the federation, demonstrating their exceptional skills and dedication to duty.
The wife of the Honourable Minister of Interior, Mrs. Abimbola Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, urged senior officers to mentor junior female personnel and improve their skills to undertake leadership roles in policy-making.
Mrs. Tunji-Ojo commended Dr. Audi’s efforts in promoting gender inclusion in the NSCDC, highlighting the importance of creating opportunities for women in the security sector.

The ceremony included the presentation of awards and goodwill messages by notable dignitaries, including the President of the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN) and the CEO of School Hunters.
