Kidnappers on Rampage in Kogi, 4 Civil Defence Officers Abducted again on Itobe Road

Barely four days that 12 passengers were kidnapped in Kogi, Four officers of the kogi state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps( NSCDC) were on Thursday kidnapped in kogi by unknown gunmen on the same route.

The Authority gathered that officers were on their way to Benue State to attend promotion examinations before they ran into them.

According to a source close to one of the victims, said the officers were five in number travelling in an official vehicle when they were abducted around Ajegwu Junction on Itobe – Anyigba highway.

He added that the fifth person escaped while they were being marched into the bush.

He said the alleged abductors have established communication with families asking for thirty million naira only (#30M ) ransom.

It would be recalled that 12 persons were abducted on the same spot on Monday while Six persons including a law school Student were on Sunday kidnapped on Obajana Kabba road.

Meanwhile , the commandant of the state command, Mr. Peter Samuel Maigeri feigned ignorance of the abduction adding that he is yet to receive the information of the incident
