Healthcare Delivery: Ganduje Hails Management, Staff Of Health Ministry For Hardwork

Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Wednesday, commended the management and staff of the state Ministry of Health for their commitment in actualizing his policy and agenda in the health sector.

Ganduje who made the commendation during a dinner wrapping up the 2019 Memorandum of Understanding end-of-year review on Primary Healthcare delivery with development partners at African House, Government House, said he was pleased on the the management and staff of the Ministry of Health are working tirelessly to ensure that the state achieve its target on healthcare delivery, particularly in the area of the Routine Immunization (RI) exercise.

He further appreciated the state Commssioner of Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa for his dedication to duty and coordinating prowess which has continued to spur the spirit of the management and staff of the Ministry of Health to work even harder.

Ganduje who reminded his audience that healthcare delivery remains one of cardinal policy thrusts of human development, said he will continue to provide the necessary support to the Ministry to make it perform, even better.

He charged them to maintain the tempo in order to improve the health conditions of Kano residents, assuring that his administration will not relent in it’s effort to provide world-class health facilities for the benefit of the people of the state and Nigerians, at large.

Ganduje also appreciated the contribution and support of donor agencies and development partners to the health sector, especially the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Dangote Foundation, Clinton Health Access Initiative, WHO, UNICEF, among others.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa expressed delight over Ganduje’s unflinching support to the health sector, promising that the Ministry under his watch will continue to ensure that Kano residents continue to receive adequate healthcare delivery.

Dr. Tsanyawa who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr. Binta Umar Bala, further restated resolve of the staff of the Ministry to continue to work hard towards attaining the organizational goals, while thanking Ganduje for giving the health sector topmost priority it deserved.
