Following incessant killings in different parts of Nigeria by the Islamic fundamentalist under the auspices of Boko Haram, Chief Solomon Chukwu, President of the newly constituted Internal Government of Biafra by the Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, led Movement for Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and Biafra Independent Movement (BIM) has assured of freedom of worship when granted full autonomy.
Chief Chukwu disclosed this in a press statement issued and endorsed on his behalf by Mr Chris Mocha, the Director of Information of the Internal Government of Biafra and made available to news men in Owerri on Saturday cited Benue, Taraba and Plateau states in the alleged killings by the Fulani herdmen and bandits
Chukwu promised to run an all inclusive governance where the citizens will at all times, feel happy to belong without being discriminated against their tribe nor religion.
The President mentioned Boko-Haram, Islamic state of West Africa Province (ISWAP), Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) as groups associated with armed bandits, gunmen, Fulani herdsmen, kidnappers among other anti social vices.
He lamented that these groups are mostly Muslims and Islamic Worshippers pointing out that their inimical activities peturbs serious threat to the world peace.
The newly appointed President further disclosed that his administration is anchored on parliamentary system of governance geared towards the protection and respect of the fundamental human rights of persons living in Biafran Territory .
These rights he said include religious freedom of worship, freedom of speech, freedom of association, freedom to life, and to impart ideas without interference.
