An explosion has hit Satellite Town in Lagos State Sunday morning leading to collapse of buildings in neighbouring axis of Surulere, Amuwo Odofin, Oshodi, Ikeja, Alimosho and environs.
The explosion caused heavy panic in the axis throwing residents into pandemonium.
Eyewitnesses accounts said the loud sound was as a result of pipeline explosion at Satellite Town.
Other eyewitnesses said the the ceiling of the church they were congregated inside collapsed from the explosion.
Another resident said a two-storey building nearby also collapsed.
Confirming the explosion, the Federal Fire Service said its men are in touch with the men in Fire Stations around Badagry and Festac.
It assured that efforts are on ground to gather more information as regards the reported explosion in Lagos State.
It warned residents to steer clear of the area as safety is not negotiable.
