The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), has said it will continue with train services on the Abuja-Kaduna rail line after its earlier announcement that it will suspend passenger train services as from Monday, 23rd March 2020 in a bid to curtail the spread of the Covid – 19 virus.
In a statement earlier released over the weekend, the Corporation had announced that it will stop all train operations due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Recall that the Abuja to Kaduna train service has since witnessed a surge in the number of passengers who now prefer to travel from Abuja to Kaduna via the train due to security concerns.
However, in another statement which was released barely hours after the first, stated that the NRC had reviewed the suspension of all passenger train services.
