Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has condoled with the families of Dr. Habibu Gwarzo and that of Alhaji Mahmud Isma’ila Abdullahi, the father of the member House of Representatives, representing Gaya/Ajingi/Albasu Federal Constituency, Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya.
He described their deaths as not only a great loss to the state and the country in general, but irreparable and prayed for God’s blessing for the souls of the great men, who departed and left behind large number of families.
Ganduje, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Abba Anwar, said, “I want, on behalf of the state government and the good people of Kano state commiserate with the families of Dr Habibu Gwarzo, a great scholar and educationist, who nurtured other leaders our country is blessed with.
“So also Alhaji Mahmud Isma’ila Abdullahi, a great community leader, whose leadership qualities produced many great men in his community and beyond.”
Ganduje prayed to God to give the deceased families the fortitude to bear the loss and prayed for the repose of the souls of the dead, adding that, “I urge all to copy from the exemplary life of the departed gentlemen.”
