No fewer than 11 deaths have been recorded in Nigeria from the novel coronavirus which has spread to 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The Nigeria Control for Disease Control, announced this on Tuesday, also said 19 new confirmed cases were recorded in the country.
According to the NCDC, this brought the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 362.
The centre made the announcement via its Twitter handle at 09. 20 pm .
It also announced that no fewer than 99 patients have been discharged in the country.
According to the NCDC, “Nineteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported as follows:14 in Lagos, 2 in FCT, 1 in Kano, 1 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Edo. As at 09:20 pm 14th April there are 362 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 99 have been discharged with 11 deaths.
