The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has raised the alarm over an alleged plot by desperate politicians to link its only House of Representatives member in the state Hon. Ossy Prestige, representing Aba North/ Aba South with “an imaginary” murder case to tarnish his image and ruin his political career.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the state Chairman of the party, the Rev. Augustine Ehiemere, and made available to newsmen on Sunday.
“May it be on record that intelligent report gathered so far by APGA shows that some desperate politicians in the State have concluded their evil plans to use a fictitious and none existing murder incident involving a none existing person from Abia North axis to implicate our leader, Hon. Ossy Prestige by linking him to the said fictitious and none existing murder incident”, the statement said .
According to the statement, “these evil, desperate and unscrupulous politicians in Abia State have vowed to use every evil means within their disposal including procuring a dead corpse and linking such death to Hon. Ossy Prestige with the aim of rubbishing the ever rising political prosperity, audacity and undeniable track record in terms of quality representation and prompt delivery of democracy dividends to the good people of Abia State.”
APGA further said that those behind the plot had perfected arrangements to use some top security agents and judicial officers within and outside the state to execute their evil and sinister plans.
The party urged security agencies to resist any pressure or inducement by desperate politicians to incriminate the lawmaker, warning that it would not tolerate such illegality.
