Projects: No sector will be abandoned – Wike

By Daniel Tyokua

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike has said all sectors across the territory will be considered in the ongoing provision of infrastructure.

He told residents to be more patience with the government as work on schools and other areas are in progress.

Wike stated this on Friday, after inspecting the Gwagwalada – market- Aguma road and A2 Pai road in Kwali Area Council.

The minister explained that the road networks are essential for development, especially helping residents to access hospitals, transporting of farm produce to market and aiding security agencies to reach crime scene in time.

He revealed that more than 60 schools have been renovated across the territory which the inauguration will commence after commissioning of some road projects to mark President Tinubu’s second year anniversary in office.

Wike also said the projects being executed across the territory were in fulfilment of the Renewed Hope promised the residents.

According to him, all the projects were possible because of the right leadership of President Tinubu.

He said, “When we visited the roads, we saw the enthusiasm of the market people and residents, it showed how happy they were.

“And that is what we have assured Nigerians, real hope is not just mere talk. It is something that has come to stay, something that Nigerians will appreciate. When you have the right leadership you are bound to achieve results.

“So, we are happy that the promise we made has been fulfilled. But I can tell you, no sector will be abandoned, every sector will be focused on.

“Road networks are essential for development. When there are no roads, which school can you attend? When there are no roads, which hospital can you visit?

“Now, if you are talking about agriculture, how can you transport your farm produce without roads?

“So, first and foremost, the key thing is that development relies on road networks worldwide” said Wike.
