Kaduna killings: Buhari warns against further attacks

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the latest attacks on Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Reports had it that armed herdsmen on Monday attacked Christian communities in Kajuru located in the Southern part of Kaduna State.

The armed herdsmen were said to have killed more women and children during the attack.

Reacting, Buhari warned against counter attacks among the Fulani and Addara communities in Kajuru Local Government Area of the state.

Buhari’s Senior Special Assistance on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu made this disclosure in a series of tweets via his verified Twitter handle.

He wrote: “@MBuhari has again condemned the wave of attacks and counterattacks on people among the Fulani and Addara communities in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, saying that killing in the name of revenge is wrong.”

Shehu quoted Buhari as saying: “Killing people in the name of revenge is not acceptable,” adding that, “the recourse to self-help, instead of the law of the land is the real cause of the killings and counter killings between the two communities.”

The President warned that no person has the right to take the law in his or her own hands.
